The Aurin Girls\u2019 Choir was founded in 1998 at the Kod\u00e1ly School in Kecskem\u00e9t by former members of the Miraculum Children\u2019s Choir over the age of 15. Today, it is one of Europe\u2019s most acclaimed youth choirs, known for its outstanding artistic quality, diverse repertoire, and dynamic performances that have won praise from both professionals and audiences alike. The founder and artistic director of the choir is L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Dur\u00e1nyik, who builds on the traditions of the Kod\u00e1ly Method to combine technical precision with emotionally expressive musical interpretation.<\/p>\n

The Aurin Girls\u2019 Choir continuously expands its repertoire, spanning from Renaissance music to contemporary choral works. Special emphasis is placed on compositions by Hungarian composers such as Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly, B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k, Lajos B\u00e1rdos, Mikl\u00f3s Kocs\u00e1r, Gy\u00f6rgy Orb\u00e1n, Levente Gy\u00f6ngy\u00f6si, and P\u00e9ter T\u00f3th.<\/p>\n
The choir\u2019s first solo album was released in October 1999, followed by new CDs in 2004 and 2007. In 2012, the ensemble collaborated with the Miraculum Children\u2019s Choir on the complete edition of Bicinia Hungarica<\/em> and Tricinia<\/em> by Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly. Their Renaissance CD, released in 2013, features performances by the Aurin Girls\u2019 Choir, Miraculum Children\u2019s Choir, Somnium Laude Chamber Choir, and the Renaissance Consort.
