Choir family
The Miraculum-Aurin Choir Family began its journey in 1996 with the founding of the Miraculum Children’s Choir. Formed by students from grades 6 to 8 of the Kodály School in Kecskemét, the choir quickly gained recognition with remarkable success at both national and international festivals and competitions.
The founding conductor of the choir is László Durányik.
Thanks to the choir’s strong sense of community and shared achievements, the Aurin Girls’ Choir was established in 1998, formed by former Miraculum members who had moved on to secondary school. The girls’ choir continued the distinguished legacy of the internationally acclaimed children’s choir, earning numerous victories at international competitions, completing multiple international tours, and recording several solo albums. In 2006, they became Olympic champions at the World Choir Games held in China.
Continuing this tradition, in 2007 the Aurin Female Choir was founded by alumni of the Aurin Girls’ Choir. Later, inspired by the Somnium Laude Chamber Choir – originally formed by high school students – the choir family welcomed its youngest member in 2017, the Aurin Mixed Choir.
