We are overwhelmed with gratitude to the National Talent Program for generously funding our concert tour to Paralia, Greece, where we will participate in an international choir competition. This incredible opportunity allows us to represent our town, Kecskemét, and showcase our talent on the global stage.

Having previously been to Paralia with both the Miraculum Children’s Choir and the Aurin Girls Choir, we know firsthand the immense joy and excitement that awaits us. It is not just about the competition; it is a chance for our choir members to grow closer, foster teamwork, and create beautiful memories at the beginning of this school year.

The Aurin Girls Choir, founded in 1998 at the renowned Kodály School of Kecskemét, has grown to become one of the finest youth choirs in Europe. Our aim has always been to play an important role in the cultural life of our town and be a part of Hungarian musical heritage. Participating successfully in national and international concerts, festivals, and choir competitions has been a testament to our dedication and hard work.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to receive 21 first prizes, and our journey has taken us to various countries, enriching our musical experiences and fostering cultural exchange. From England to China, from Spain to Bulgaria, we have had the privilege of sharing our passion for choral music with audiences worldwide.

Our repertoire, which spans from the Renaissance era to the 20th century, holds a special emphasis on choral works by Kodály, Bartók, Bárdos, Kocsár, and Orbán. We take immense pride in preserving and promoting the musical heritage of our homeland while embracing the diverse musical cultures we encounter on our travels.

Beyond the competition, Paralia offers us a chance to explore its breathtaking beauty. From the majestic Olympos mountain to the serene cloisters of North Greece, we are excited to soak in the rich history and culture of this enchanting land. And, of course, we cannot wait to take a dip in the sea and relish the seaside charm.

We are deeply grateful to the National Talent Program for recognizing and supporting our artistic endeavors. Without their generosity, this dream tour would not have been possible. Their belief in our potential drives us to strive for excellence and continue spreading the magic of choral music worldwide.

As we embark on this harmonious journey, we carry with us the passion for music, the spirit of unity, and the pride of representing Kecskemét and Hungary. Thank you, National Talent Program, for making our dreams come true, and we promise to do our best to bring back more accolades and unforgettable memories from Paralia!
