We are delighted to share that a new chapter began in the life of the Aurin Women’s Choir in September 2025. After a longer break, the choir resumed its activities with renewed enthusiasm, inspired by a bold decision: to enter the 10th Zoltán Kodály Hungarian Choir Competition in Budapest.

The preparation process brought much more than musical rehearsals. It rekindled the joy of singing together, strengthened our sense of community, and reaffirmed the high artistic standards that have always been at the heart of the Aurin choir family. The competition exceeded all our expectations: the Aurin Women’s Choir achieved the highest overall score of the entire competition and was awarded First Prize in its category.
This outstanding achievement has already opened new professional opportunities. As a special prize, the choir received an invitation to perform at the Danube Bend Contemporary Music Forum, where the concert will also be recorded for radio broadcast. We are equally honoured to have been invited by Gyula Bánkövi to take part in the Bartók Radio Day in the spring of 2026. The event will be broadcast live from the Dohnányi Ernő Music Centre, giving us another opportunity to share our music with a nationwide audience.
The past months have shown that a fresh start can lead to remarkable achievements. For the Aurin Women’s Choir, this success is not the end of a journey but the beginning of an exciting new era filled with inspiring performances, artistic growth, and new professional challenges. We look forward to sharing this journey with our audiences and continuing to build the choir’s future together.
